Depreciation run Logic

Hi Experts,

Could you please explain me logic of depreciation run calculation?

As per my understanding,as per class mentioned in depreciation key,depreciation will calculate.(straight line/declining balance etc.),then what is the role calculation method like base method,decl. bal, method ,period control and multilevel which we too define in depreciation key.
