CTS_PLUG 2.0 SP18 - Solution Manager

Hi all

 

We have been operating on CTS_PLUG 2.0 SP13 for many months now and have been having quite a few issues (mainly around the "slowness" of performing imports and all the checks it goes through).

 

We found a note that said SP15 should fix these issues.

 

I got our Basis resource to update but I see the latest is SP18.

 

We are on SolMan 7.1 SP10....I'm assuming CTS_PLUG 2.0 SP18 is compatible? I'm pretty sure this is ok.

 

However, my main question is around managed systems. As you know we have to distribute the plugin to all our managed systems. Is there prerequisites of these managed systems to be compatible with CTS_PLUG SP18?? If so, what are they as I'm struggling to find this information.

 

Just want to make sure this plugin is compatible with ChaRM and all the managed systems in our landscape (ECC, BW, SRM etc)

          I am getting  TypeError: i.getAdditionalText is not a functionwhen I add the following code in sapui5.

HTTP destination at NWA-Configuration-Infrastructure-Destinations

Hello Experts ,

 

We are having PO 7.4 single stack . We were asked to make connectivity of ECC with PO . So we have made connectivity properly and have checked in sxmb_Adm , sldcheck and sproxy t codes in ECC and everything working fine . Going ahead client has asked us to maintain HTTP destination in PO at  NWA-Configuration-Infrastructure-Destinations path pointing to ECC .

 

So we tried to create HTTP connection on PO pointing towards ECC but getting error while pinging the destination as ''Error during ping operation , received HTTP response 500''. Kindly help

Also why we need to create this connection in PO ? Is it really required ? because i have searched on SCN and found that it is not required .

Please Explain .

I am trying to write a formula to do:

sum(Material*Factor)for each(Contract)

 

It is working only for Contract 1 and Contract 2. Giving a multivalue error on Contract 3. Any suggestions? Please let me know.

Add button in status bar of ME21N

Hello Experts,

 

I have requirement to add a button in standard status(Normal_ ext) of ME21N .

That button will lead to another screen which is custom development .

I have access key and I am trying to edit standard status bar, but it is giving me error of function code.

 

Is there any other way?

Please advice.

Change of status in Advanced List Pane on selecting from setting icon

Hi,

We are working on replicating a standard BO Contract . Our Custom BO is "CONTRACT" and there is a pane in Item tab on its TI screen.

We have a requirement to change the status of a field in Advanced List Pane inside item tab using Setting icon on the right top of pane as shown in the

attached Screenshot. We want to do using event handler type "BO Action".

Could you please suggest us the appropriate methods to achieve this .

CDS modeling problem

Hi all,

 

I'm trying to figure out how to model my entities..

 

I have a big table that contains all my entities, and a smaller one that contains only some of the entities with some more data (for the same entities)

In MSSQL I did LEFT JOIN to get all entities (with or without the extra data)

 

I made a small example of my model in CDS:

 

@Catalog.tableType: #COLUMN  entity FullEntity  {       key ID : Integer; //My Key for the entities       anyField : String(50);  };  entity DescriptiveEntity  {       key FullEntID : Association [1..1] to FullEntity {ID} ; //the ID from the fullEntity table       Description : String(50);  };

How can I write a view, that will basically do:

 

SELECT * FROM FullEntity as F     LEFT JOIN DescriptiveEntity as D     ON F.ID = D.FullEntID;

 

The opposite is very easy but gives me basically a right join

 

VIEW RightView as select from DescriptiveEntity
{      DescriptiveEntity.FullEntID.ID,      DescriptiveEntity.FullEntID.anyField,      DescriptiveEntity.Description
};

Employee replication from HRM to SAP CRM

Hi All,

 

we want to replicate employee from HRM to CRM with  below functionality/requirement.

 

1.We have an existing number range for employee in both the system ex:01 (which is working fine).

2.Now business want to incorporate/create  2 new groups of employee in HRM with two new number ranges ex:02 & 03.

 

So my question is how we are going to incorporate the 2 employee group into our SAP CRM system along with the number ranges.

Smart Template Application missing Navigation

Hello,

 

I try to implement a scenarion with Smart Template Application in Wen IDE.

Based on function modules I have created a OData Service with vocabulary based Annotations.

When I create the template I cannot bind a OData Navigation, the field is empty.

 

 

In my OData Service I have assigned a association.

 

 

Can someone gie me a hint, what I can do ?

UI5 Chart Legend positioning

Hello Everyone,

 

Current Situation:

The default legend in I5 chart is placed on right hand side of chart area.

It will automatically re-size the chart area and legend area.

Now when legend names gets too long, it will reduce chart area largely. Resulting in smaller chart view.

 

Preventive Thought:

To avoid above situation, I had an idea to put legend area horizontally(may be divided in 2/3 rows) below chart area.

This will prevent chart area re-sizing largely.

But I couldn't find this customization in MII. Please suggest some solution to this problem statement?

Stop using the wrong NWDS version! © - Have a smoother Eclipse experience

Introduction

As SAP's product team continually closes the gaps between the functionality in NWDS compared to the traditional Swing-based clients, usage of NWDS as the development environment for PI/PO is increasing in popularity. This is especially true when working on features that are only available in single stack environments such as iFlows or NW BPM.

 

Despite the various NWDS installation materials found on SCN, it is still not uncommon to find discussion threads occasionally popping-up in the forum related to NWDS issues. Such issues can be found here, here, here, here, here, here and here (phew!!! ).

 

The most important thing in achieving a correct setup is ensuring correct compatibility between NWDS and the PI/PO system. This means having an exact match between NWDS and the PI/PO system in terms of:-

  • Version
  • SP level
  • Patch level

 

This means, don't use an NWDS with a version/SP/patch level higher than the PI/PO system, i.e.:-

  • Don't use NWDS 7.31 on a lower PI system, like PI 7.11

 

  • Don't use NWDS 7.31 SP17 on a PI system with a lower SP, like PI 7.31 SP12

 

  • Don't use the latest and greatest NWDS 7.5 on a PI/PO 7.31/7.4 system

 

While it is fine to use an NWDS version with a lower SP level, it is recommended to use an exact match to benefit from any new feature or bug fixes available.

 

 

Checking the version/SP/patch level of the PI/PO system

As compatibility is of utmost important, the first step is to check the version/SP/patch level of the PI/PO system. The steps are mentioned in SAP Note 1381878 which are reproduced here in graphical form.

 

Navigate to NWA > Troubleshooting > Java > System Information

Select Components Info tab, and filter Name column by XIESR. The version is listed in the Version column.

Note: XIESR component is just one example of the many components in the system, and this assumes all the other XI components are consistent across the system.

The way to interpret the version number is as follows:-

Downloading the correct NWDS version

Once the PI/PO system's version has been identified, proceed to the following Wiki article to download the corresponding NWDS version. Apart from the latest NWDS 7.5 which is available from Service Marketplace, the other versions are downloadable from the corresponding update site.

For those working on PI/PO 7.4, there is no corresponding NWDS 7.4 available. This is because NetWeaver 7.4 uses the same code base as 7.31, and therefore an equivalent NWDS 7.31 installation can be used. This is mentioned in SAP Note 1791485 - NWDS 7.3 EHP1 as development environment for SAP NetWeaver 7.4. Following is a snippet from the note on how to determine the equivalent NWDS 7.31 version to use:-

If you are using SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SP lower that the latest, please install SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3 EHP1 with SP version five levels higher than the number of your SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SP.

For example: You are using SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SP 4. You have to install SAP NetWeaver 7.31 EHP1 SP 9.

 

So based on the example above:-

  • PI/PO system = 7.40 SP08
  • NWDS = 7.31 SP13 (8 + 5)

 

And therefore, the following should be the corresponding compatible version of NWDS.

Additionally, it is also important to have the correct JDK when using NWDS. This should be the same as the JVM version of the PI/PO system.

 

i) PI/PO 7.31 or 7.4

Runs on JVM 6.1, therefore it requires a JDK 1.6. This can be downloaded from SAP or Oracle. Personally, I prefer using SAP's as it provides a more stable experience. It can be downloaded from the update site itself as shown in the screenshot below.

ii) PI/PO 7.5

Runs on JVM 8, therefore it requires a 64-bit JDK 8.

 

 

Conclusion

Working on NWDS as the development environment is great and I personally enjoy the various benefits of working on the Eclipse platform. However, getting the setup right is essential to enjoying a smooth experience. Hopefully this blog will help the community be aware of the prerequisites when setting up installing NWDS in order to avoid unnecessary incompatibility issues.

Difference result between SELECT and CE_OLAP_VIEW

Is it possible to get difference results between CE functions and SQL?

My scenario is

1- I have created Analytical view to get GL balances from table FAGLFLEXT with GLs description and Company codes data

2- I'm creating Script calculation view to perform my logic based on SQL here is my code

Data load from BW On premise to IBP SOP Via HCI DS

Hi,

 

We are using SAP BW On premise system as the source.Sales open orders cube would be the source Info cube.

 

Now we have a requirement to load the data in open orders cube to IBP S&OP on cloud.

 

I would request to provide the steps or procedures to load the data from BW to IBP SOP via HCI Data services.

 

I observed that the templates available in HCI DS when we create tasks are relevant for SAP ECC system and these templates are not useful when the source is BW cube.Please correct me if am wrong.

 

Please provide as much as detailed information to load the data from BW cube to IBP SOP via HCI DS.

Das Enhancement Package 7 beinhaltet ab Service Pack 2 neue Funktionen im Bereich der Anlagenbuchhaltung, die eine deutliche Vereinfachung der parallelen Rechnungslegung innerhalb der Ledgerlösung der neuen Hauptbuchhaltung bedeuten.

 

Mit S/4HANA Finance ist die neue Anlagenbuchhaltung sogar verpflichtend.

 

Während bisher in der Ledgerlösung das Führen von „Delta-Bewertungsbereichen“ notwendig war, entfällt dies nun mit der neuen Business Function FIN_AA_PARALLEL_VAL. Darüber hinaus entfällt die Einschränkung auf Bewertungsbereich-spezifische Bewegungsarten bei Einführung der neuen Anlagenbuchhaltung.

 

SAP empfiehlt die Nutzung dieser Business Function bei Neueinführungen des Neuen Hauptbuchs.

 

Aufgrund der Relevanz dieses Themas für alle Kunden bietet SAP Education nun einen zweitägigen Workshop zur neuen Anlagenbuchhaltung an (WDEAA7).
Der Workshops vermittelt Ihnen die Logik der neuen Anlagenbuchhaltung – Sie lernen die Konfiguration und den Einsatz der neuen Funktionalitäten kennen.
